I was considering the state of the church in America and I came to prophets. The word “perfidious” popped into my mind and I knew it pertained to false prophets in our midst. I don’t usually use $50.00 words, so it really got my attention. Then the Lord God gave me this word for them.
The Lord God by His Spirit says to you: “My wrath is kindled against you and you have fallen into my hands. In your arrogance, you are deliberately faithless and deceitful. No longer will your disguise as sheep fool multitudes of people, for you will be seen as greedy wolves. Your perfidious tactics will become apparent. Your celebrity status will fail. Your income will plummet. Your smooth words will be worthless.”
To those of you who thrive on the dangerous spiritual entertainment these false prophets provide I say: it will lose its luster. You will no longer feel comfortable walking in your own way, for you will know deep down, God’s way of righteousness is far better. Repent. Ask God to forgive you and He will. Jesus calls: “Come to me, all of you who are weary and loaded down with burdens, and I will give you rest.” Mt 11:28
To the true prophets, especially those of you who are nobodies from nowhere like me, I say: speak God’s Word to His people. He will give you dreams and visions and He will put His words in your mouth. You will edify, exhort and comfort those in your fellowship and those God puts before you. Pray in tongues as Paul did and as Jude encouraged “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost” (Jude 20). Let the Lord make you strong.
