God has called you and me into His kingdom and glory to walk holy, sanctified before Him. He has made you and me holy, sanctified ones, saints.
In your walk with the Lord, sanctified before Him, you live as one whose body is a temple of God. You speak the truth in love. You love one another in thought word and deed.
Or, are you satisfied with yourself as is? Do you love your neighbor as yourself? When is the last time you reached out a helpful hand to a brother or sister in the Lord?
When is the last time you invited a believer into your home to set at your table and eat the Lord’s Supper in remembrance of Messiah Jesus and speak highly of the Lord to one another. Or, do you settle for a plastic thimble with a rip off cover, filled with a bite of bread and a taste of grape juice and call that the Lord’s Supper.
When Messiah Jesus ate the Passover with His disciples, it was a meal. He talked to the disciples and they asked Him questions. They shared their hearts before Him and with one another. After supper, He took the cup and said, “Take and drink, this is the new covenant in my blood. Later, in the afternoon of the same Jewish day, He shed His blood for the forgiveness of our sins.
Beloved, let us love one another, not in word only, but in word and in deed. Put your love into action and make it real.
This is how we learned what love is: He gave His life for us. We should give our lives for our fellow Christians. If anyone has this world’s goods and sees his fellow Christian is in need but shuts his heart against him, how can he still be loving God? Children, let us not love only in words or in talk, but let us put our love into action and make it real. 1 John 3:16-18 AAT
