Celebrate Living in Spiritual Light

by

Celebrate living in spiritual light. “Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Messiah has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.” (Galatians 5:1)

As Paul remarked, there’s no law against it. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” (Galatians 5:22)

Rejoice 4 Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I will say, “Rejoice!” 5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. 6 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Messiah Yeshua. Philippians 4:4

22  Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude and mock you, and throw out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake.

23  Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven, for their fathers did the same thing to the prophets. Luke 6:22-23 (Jn 9:22; Jn 15:21; Jn 16:2; Heb 11:26; 1Pt 4:14)

We give thanks, joining Paul in thanking God for faith, for love of one another, for eternal life, for the truth of the Gospel of the Kingdom, for it bearing fruit and growing around the world and for knowing the grace of God in truth.

Colossians 1:3 We give thanks to God the Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, praying always for you, 4 having heard of your faith in Messiah Yeshua and of the love which you have toward all the holy ones, 5 because of the hope which is laid up for you in the heavens, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the Good News 6 which has come to you, even as it is in all the world and is bearing fruit and growing, as it does in you also, since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth, 7 even as you learned from Epaphras our beloved fellow servant, who is a faithful servant of Messiah on your‡ behalf, 8 who also declared to us your love in the Spirit.

We receive Paul’s prayer for the Colossians and us.

Colossians 1:9 For this cause, we also, since the day we heard this, don’t cease praying and making requests for you, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, 10 that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God, 11 strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy.

Giving thanks to the Father for makings us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light and delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of His Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of our sins.

Colossians 1:12 giving thanks to the Father, who made us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the holy ones in light, 13 who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love, 14 in whom we have our redemption,§ the forgiveness of our sins.

We give thanks for what God has made us to be and to do.

1 Peter 2:5 You also as living stones are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Yeshua the Messiah.

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. 10 In the past, you were not a people, but now are God’s people, who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

11 Beloved, I beg you as foreigners and pilgrims to abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, 12 having good behavior among the nations, so in that of which they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good works and glorify God in the day of visitation. (The day of visitation is the day receiving Messiah Jesus.)

We give thanks for the fellowship we have in Messiah Jesus

Ephesians 4 1 I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3 being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

4 There is one body and one Spirit, even as you also were called in one hope of your calling, 5 one Lord, one faith, one immersion, 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in us all.

7 But to each one of us, the grace was given according to the measure of the gift of Messiah. 8 Therefore he says,“When he ascended on high,he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to people.”✡9 Now this, “He ascended”, what is it but that he also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.

11 He gave some to be emissaries (apostles); and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, shepherds* and teachers; 12 for the perfecting of the holy ones, to the work of serving, to the building up of the body of Messiah, 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a full grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Messiah, 14 that we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error; 15 but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him who is the head, Messiah, 16 from whom all the body, being fitted and knit together through that which every joint supplies, according to the working in measure of each individual part, makes the body increase to the building up of itself in love.

We celebrate the fact that in America there are around 166 million adult brothers and sisters in the Lord, out of 256 million adults. God has delivered us from the darkness the remaining 90 million live in. Pew Research as of 2019
