God connections are spiritual blessings which God our Father in heaven connected us in. God connected us in the unity of the Spirit the moment we believed in Messiah Jesus His Son. In that moment, we were born of God our Abba Father, our Dear Father, in heaven. By His grace, God our Father gave us faith in Messiah Jesus. In that same instant, God forgave our sins because His Son, Messiah Jesus shed his blood for the remission, the forgiveness of our sins. In that God made us His holy ones, saints. In the same instant our Father baptized us in the Spirit, filled us with His Spirit and gave us a spirit. Before that, we were only unregenerate humans with only body and soul, like those of the world. God regenerated us (Titus 3:1-7), made us new creatures created in Messiah with spirit, soul and body. The Holy Spirit enlightens the eyes of our heart (our mind, emotions and will) in our spirit and we can see, comprehend and walk holy in God’s Kingdom in the newness of our life in Messiah (Ro 6:4; Ro 7:6).
God’s old covenant people did not have those blessings of God connections. When Adam fell into sin, the Spirit departed him. After that, God’s old covenant people were body and soul. To keep them together, God chose Moses to bring them the law.
Then God sent His Son, Messiah Jesus to live on earth (about 4,000 years after Adam). He brought God connections.
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him. Without him, nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn’t overcome* it.
6 There came a man sent from God, whose name was Yochanan. 7 The same came as a witness, that he might testify about the light, that all might believe through him. 8 He was not the light, but was sent that he might testify about the light. 9 The true light that enlightens everyone was coming into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world didn’t recognize him. 11 He came to his own, and those who were his own didn’t receive him. 12 But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God’s children, to those who believe in his name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 The Word became flesh and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the only born† Son of the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 Yochanan testified about him. He cried out, saying, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me, for he was before me.’ ” 16 From his fullness we all received grace upon grace. 17 For the Torah was given through Moses. Grace and truth were realized through Yeshua the Messiah.‡ 18 No one has seen God at any time. The only born§ Son,** who is in the bosom of the Father, has declared him. John 1:1-18
“Grace and truth were realized through Yeshua the Messiah.‡”
23 But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, confined for the faith which should afterwards be revealed. 24 So that the law has become our tutor to bring us to Messiah, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. 26 For you are all children of God, through faith in Messiah Yeshua. 27 For as many of you as were immersed into Messiah have put on Messiah. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Messiah Yeshua. 29 If you are Messiah’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring and heirs according to promise. Galatians 3:23-29
1 But I say that so long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a bondservant, though he is lord of all, 2 but is under guardians and stewards until the day appointed by the father. 3 So we also, when we were children, were held in bondage under the elemental principles of the world. 4 But when the fullness of the time came, God sent out his Son, born to a woman, born under the law, 5 that he might redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as children. 6 And because you are children, God sent out the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, “Abba,* Father!” 7 So you are no longer a bondservant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Messiah. Galatians 4:1-7
Since God adopted us as His children, He made us His heirs. The inheritance is stored up, reserved in heaven, for us.
