Stand up for Jesus! and against the Left’s worldview. The Lefts worldview is big enough to accommodate all of the works of the flesh(Gal 5:19-21), declare them right according to their worldvew and demand the right to practice them with impunity. The Left obviously considers the works of the flesh to be politically correct and considers Biblical speech and conduct an affront to their standards.
Their “kind of wisdom does not come from above. No, it is worldly, self-centered, and demonic.”
“Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his noble conduct that his actions are done humbly and wisely. But if you have bitter jealousy and rivalry in your hearts, stop boasting and slandering the truth. That kind of wisdom does not come from above. No, it is worldly, self-centered, and demonic. For wherever jealousy and rivalry exist, there is disorder and every kind of evil.
However, the wisdom that comes from above is first of all pure, then peace-loving, gentle, willing to yield, full of compassion and good deeds, and without a trace of partiality or hypocrisy. And a harvest of righteousness is grown from the seed of peace planted by peacemakers. James 3:13-18 ISV
The Left says: “judge not!” They would like to silence all Christians with that much of the Bible they know. But, we are not judging as in sentencing them to punishment. When we point to God’s word regarding their worldview, we are standing up for Jesus. Our own noble conduct is in accord with the wisdom that comes from above. It testifies against them. Of course they disdain our trust in Jesus and demean the Bible.
In a profound article, Stephen Thomas Kirschner reveals the Left’s political goal. His article Cultural Marxism: The origins of the present day social justice movement, and political correctness is a must read.
Here’s a telling excerpt:
Political Correctness is cultural Marxism, Marxism translated from economic into cultural terms. Its history goes back not to the 1960s but to World War I. Before 1914, Marxist theory said that if a major war broke out in Europe, the workers of every country would join together in a revolution to overthrow capitalism and replace it with international socialism. But when war came, that did not happen. What had gone wrong?
Two Marxist theorists, Antonio Gramsci in Italy and Georg Lukacs in Hungary, independently came up with the same answer. They said that Western culture and the Christian religion had so “blinded” the working class to its true (Marxist) class interests that Communism was impossible in the West until traditional culture and Christianity were destroyed. . .
Gramsci 1860–1937 worked on his “prison notebooks”, which outlined his chief insight which is called “cultural hegemony”. Cultural hegemony stated the various factors that made Western civilization what it was, and was thus preventing the communist revolution. The key was to continue the “class war” but at the same, undermine these factors from within. These factors were: Christianity, Authority, Sexual restraint, Personal responsibility, Heredity, Law, Truth, Family, Patriotism and national unity, Community, Conservatism, Language, Tradition.
Gramsci believed that the media and academia had to issue a “counter-hegemony” message, which would help undermine these planks of Western culture.
Stand up, stand up for Jesus! Stand in His strength alone,
The arm of flesh will fail you, ye dare not trust your own;
Put on the gospel armor, and watching unto prayer,
Where calls the voice of duty, be never wanting there.
