The tribe of Aaron were assigned by God to be the priesthood of Israel and to put that blessing on them. “22The LORD spoke to Moses: 23“Tell Aaron and his sons how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them: … 27In this way they will pronounce My name over the Israelites, and I will bless them.” Numbers 6
We too have that same blessing. For we are the children of Abraham. (Romans 4:16-17a; Galatians 3:6-9.
Not only that, but we can speak that blessing to one another. For God has made us His royal priesthood.
9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. 10 In the past, you were not a people, but now are God’s people, who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
11 Beloved, I beg you as foreigners and pilgrims, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; 12 having good behavior among the nations, so in that of which they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they see, glorify God in the day of visitation. 1 Peter 2 WMB
Bless one another with God’s blessing.
Here are three more blessings of peace from God you can convey.
4 Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I will say, “Rejoice!” 5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. 6 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Messiah Yeshua. Philippians 4 WMB
13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit. …
33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen. Romans 15 WMB
